Week of Science and Creativity - 2016

Law and International Relations Department held the Week of Science and Creativity from 9 till 12 March, 2016.


As a part of the Week of Science and Creativity was held the traditional competition on the history of Kazakhstan among the first course students of all specialties. Olympiad was held in Kazakh and Russian languages. During the Olympiad students demonstrated a high level of knowledge on the history of Kazakhstan, creativity and the desire to win. The competition contributed to the development of students' patriotism, as well as preparation for the state exam on the history of Kazakhstan. The winners have become Sovethan Nazerke Talgatkyzy, Amanzhanov Alimzhan Nurzhanovich, Kumashev Chingizhan Bakytbekuly - students learning the state language. Among the best students with the Russian language of instruction were Mukhamadieva Camila Erlanovna, Danilova Alena Vadimovna, Anton Aleksandrovich Ivanov. Entertaining event was the holding of the Olympiad, where the students of 1-3 courses of the state language training competed for the title of best lawyers in 2016. Participants solved practical and logical tasks in the disciplines of legal cycle using videos, composed law terms, demonstrated their own videos, highlighting the problem of crime prevention among young people. No less interesting was role-playing game UN Modelling that united students majoring in Law and International Relations. Having adopted the roles of UN Security Council members, students discuss current topic of civilians’ protection in armed conflict. The meeting developed a draft resolution that proposed effective methods and ways to ensure the rights of civilians in armed conflict.

"This event helped us, the students, to try ourselves in the role of representatives of the UN Security Council, as well as individual officials of the participating countries, - says Yulia Larionova, 2nd year student. - We have studied the structure and work plan of meetings of this format. Everyone got a chance to improve their knowledge and mastery of foreign languages. At the same time, this event brought us together and made friends of all the participants, each received positive emotions and good experience. In the future, we hope to conduct such conferences again, so that more students could take part in it."
