International Scientific Congress with the participation of foreign partners was held on September 25 and 26.

- Special gratitude to our foreign partners, who have found an opportunity to meet their Kazakh colleagues to discuss topical problems of society, - said Yerezhep Mambetkaziyev, the KAFU President and the Member of the Kazakhstan National Academy of Science, at the plenary session. - We need to form a new scientific community, ready to bear responsibility for the destiny of our country. One of the main priorities of KAFU is the young multilingual faculty. I am impressed by the willingness of young people for achieving competitiveness. This is the generation I dreamt about creating the free university of international partnership more than 20 years ago.

KAFU honorary professor from Ontario (Canada) Robert Roebuck described the features of globalization and free trade influence on the world in his report as well as the advantages of practical education. The speeches of KAFU Vice President Daniel Ballast and the student of our university E. Lyutovski on this topic aroused great interest among the participants of the congress.

Senior Lecturer A.Abdrahmanova described the essence of the five institutional reforms to strengthen Kazakhstan's statehood. Common problems of higher education in the modern world were detailed in the speech of the Center of International Relations and Programs Director Yulia Novitskaya. Great interest among the participants of the Congress was aroused by the speech of the research department deputy chief T. Levina on the current state of Slavic languages.
